In January 2020, Cynthia and Blake had their dream winter wedding! It took place in Edmonton, Canada, on one of the coldest days of the year, but the pair were radiating with happiness. They started off their big day with first-look photos; Blake stood out in the snow and Cynthia gently tapped his arm. He was overcome with emotion when he saw her — and rightfully so, because she looked angelic in her white wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and lace sleeves.
Despite the chilly weather, they took some lovely photos outside the venue as a blanket of snow created a scenic backdrop for them. Then they went inside where they were greeted by their friends and family. The ceremony was filled with personal touches that reflected their interests. For instance, Blake’s sister made the wine that was served and all the guests received hand-poured candles as wedding favors.
A particularly sweet detail was that each table at the venue had a DIY terrarium centerpiece with custom figures! This was a subtle nod to their nerdy side and added a layer of sentimentality.
